While Perth has always lagged behind Sydney and Melbourne for its vibrant cosmopolitan city living, big changes are underway that could change the landscape of how Perth embraces this way of lifestyle.
Many new developments are in progress with an artist’s impression of the new Elizabeth Quay development pictured above to illustrate how these new developments will attract more demand for quality apartments near the CBD that are also close to lifestyle amenities, restaurants, cafes and transport facilities.
A recent question to the Perth Mayor Lisa Scaffidi was “What will Perth look like in June 2016?”
“In two years’ time we’ll be well on the way to achieving better connections between the CBD and the Swan River. The inlet at Elizabeth Quay will be completed and public spaces around it will be emerging ahead of the major private sector developments, including residential. So there will be more people taking advantage of our beautiful Swan River” she replied.
Around 2000 new apartments have been approved in residential developments across Perth in the past 12 months and there is no sign that this wave of change is going to slow down moving forward.
